How can I register to participate in a Junior Skills Challenge Local Event?
We encourage all eligible juniors to participate in a Local Event. Clubs may host Private or Public events. Please contact your local club(s) to check if they are hosting an event. For assistance in locating an event near you, contact Robert Wolanski at rwolanski@golfcanada.ca.


Who should I contact if there is an issue with my score on the National Leaderboard?
Please contact your Local Event instructor first. If the issue remains unresolved, reach out to Robert Wolanski at rwolanski@golfcanada.ca.


Can I participate in more than one Local Event?
Yes, participants may register to compete in multiple Local Events.


Is there a fee to participate in the Junior Skills Challenge?
There is no registration fee to be eligible for the Junior Skills Challenge. However, clubs may charge a green fee or participation fee to cover the cost of hosting Local Events.


Can I still participate if I do not have golf clubs?
It is recommended to contact the instructor prior to the event to ensure availability of rental clubs.

 

How can I view my ranking?
Visit the National Leaderboard and set the results filter accordingly.

 

NATIONAL EVENT

 

Where will the National Event be held?
The 2024 National Event will be hosted on October 5 in the Peel Region, Ontario.

 

Are there other experiences provided to participants besides the competition?
Participants will be invited to attend a weekend of events including a 9-hole competition and the national event competition.


Which age group will I compete in?
Age classifications are based on the participants’ age on the date of the National Final. For example, if a participant is 10 years old on the day of the National Final, their Local Event score will appear on the 10-11 age group on the National Leaderboard, even if they were 9 years old at the date of the Local Event.


Do I have to arrange my own travel and accommodations?
Yes, participants are responsible for booking their own travel and accommodations to the event. A travel subsidy will be provided.

 

Can I use my own golf ball at the National Event?
Yes, participants can use their own golf ball. However, note that the ball may not be retrievable for the driving portion of the event.


What should I wear to the National Event?
All participants will receive a Cobra-Puma golf uniforms prior to the National Event.


Do I win anything for coming first at the National Event?
Yes, winners of each age group and gender will receive a trophy and a new Cobra driver.


Can I invite friends and family? Is there a charge to attend the National Event?
Friends and family are welcome to attend the National Event at no charge. Please note that parking may be limited, so plan accordingly and consider ride sharing or a taxi.


Is there a video live stream of the National Event?
Unfortunately, there is no video live stream available of the National Event competition. Results will be posted promptly following conclusion of play and a score review.
